This Week in Peacock Softball... 
Upper Iowa will get on the bus this week for the first time since the third week of March.  The Peacocks travel to Wayne State College on Wednesday to kick off eight straight games away from home.  UIU and WSC will begin their double header at 1 p.m.  Upper Iowa will then travel to the Dakotas for the weekend with a pair of double dips at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. and Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D. on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 14-15.
 
Looking Back...
The Peacock softball team went 3-3 last week thanks to a mid-week sweep of St. Cloud State and a split with Southwest Minnesota State.  Kylee Knop hit .500 for the week with 9 hits including 3 doubles.  The senior drove in 5 runs while scoring one.  Knop also started three games posting a 2-1 record in 17 innings of work.  Her ERA was 3.71 in those games after allowing 7 earned runs on just 15 hits while striking out 11 batters.  Bailee Haberman (.412) and Hailley Haning (.348) also hit well for the UIU offense.
 
On Deck...
Next week, the Peacocks head to Augustana College on Tuesday, Apr. 17, to face the #22 Vikings.  Upper Iowa will then return home for the final weekend of the regular season to face the Bulldogs of the University of Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State University on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 21-22.
