This Week in Peacock Softball...

After a 1-4 start to the start this past weekend in Las Vegas, the Upper Iowa Softball team returns to action this weekend when they make the short trip to Rochester, Minn. for four in-region games in two days against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents.

The Peacocks open the weekend with a big day on Saturday with three games jammed into one day.  At 8 a.m., the Peacocks play the Mavericks of Mesa State before playing Nebraska-Kearney at 10 a.m.  Then at 2 p.m., Upper Iowa gets a chance at redemption when they line up against the Grizzlies of Adams State.  The Grizzlies pulled out a 16-8 victory last Friday when the two squads met in Sin City.

Upper Iowa closes out the weekend on Sunday when they play an 8 a.m. contest with the Mountain Lions of UC-Colorado Springs.

This will be the first action of the season for Mesa State and Nebraska-Kearney.
