The #3 Peacock wrestling team returned to the mats today in Decorah and dominated the competition at the Luther Open with seven individual titles and had fifteen wrestlers place in their brackets.  The Luther Open features two sets of brackets; the first was the Elite brackets for upperclassmen and the second were the Freshman brackets.

Upper Iowa claimed four titles in the Elite Brackets led by Kyle Pedretti (125), Winston Robbins (unattached, 157), Carl Broghammer (197) and Zach Rosol (285).  Wade Gobin (174) placed second, while Bryce Lumzy (unattached, 157) was third and Duane Richardson and Blake Hilmer placed fifth.

In the freshman brackets, the Peacocks claimed three titles on the backs of Chris Paulus (125) and Matt Paulus (133) and Jordan Rinken (149).  Tanner Schmidt (125) and Travis Jensen (141) both placed second, while Carson Henry (141) finished 4th and Brock Gobin (174) placed fifth.

Upper Iowa will be back on the mats again next Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Brute Adidas Open in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
