FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa women's wrestling (0-5, 0-3 GLVC) hosts the Upper Iowa Triangular on Friday at 6 p.m. The Peacocks will face off against Morningside (0-4) and Luther.
ABOUT THE TRIANGULAR
This will be UIU's first home competition in program history. The event will take place in Dorman Gymnasium and will be free for all fans to attend.
There will be a senior ceremony for Kylie Doty, Bentley Hills and Mya Mendoza before the triangular. The first dual will be between Morningside vs. Luther, followed by Upper Iowa taking on each Morningside and Luther.

LAST TIME OUT
UIU wrestled in the Cliff Keen-Mike Duroe Invitational on Jan. 17. The meet featured NWCA-ranked competition in No. 1 Iowa, No. 10 Northern Michigan, No. 13 Wartburg and No. 16 Simpson.
Kylee Shoop starred for the Peacocks in the meet, winning three of her matches. She beat Paige Haaf of Augsburg (Minn.), Alysia Yoder of Central Methodist (Mo.) and Alila Beck of Illinois Wesleyan. Eliana Callies (160) and Gracee Tompkins (180) each won a match.
Upper Iowa placed 11th out of 18 teams after earning 17.5 points. The team finished ahead of Loras College who had 17 points. Iowa won the invite with 195 points. Wartburg finished second with 121 points, and conference foe Northern Michigan finished third with 85 points.
ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Morningside lost, 30-10, to Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) and, 19-15, to Buena Vista in its latest action on Jan. 20.
Callee Shearer (131) and Elizabeth Rubio (131) won their matches against Dakota Wesleyan by forfeit. Against Buena Vista, Alyssa Olson (117) and Shearer won their matches via forfeit, while Baylie Wehmeyer (160) won her match via fall at 4:37.
Head coach Jordan Cliff is in his fourth season with the Mustangs. He previously coached a successful co-ed wrestling team at Roundup High School in Roundup, Montana, that made the state tournament.
ABOUT THE NORSE
Luther last competed in the American Rivers Conference Championships on Jan. 24, where the team placed fourth out of seven teams. Grace Rinehardt (160), Kelsey Knief (160) and Kylie Miller (180) each won three matches. Miller finished third individually, while Lexi Timmerman (131) and Rinehardt finished fifth.
Miller has a team-best record of 14-9. She's won by nine falls, three tech falls and a decision. Rinehard has the second-best record on the team of 13-10. The freshman has won by nine falls, two decisions and two tech falls.
Head coach Ryan Timmerman is in his first year. Before the Norse, Timmerman coached at St. Peter High School in Minnesota for 13 years.
