Upper Iowa put together a successful outing at the St. Mary's Invite as the Peacocks achieved five first place finishes and ten results in the top three.
Haylie Hutchinson dominated the competition as she accumulated a first-place finish in all three of her solo events. Hutchinson posted a 11.42m mark in the triple jump, which is currently the 51
st highest mark in NCAA Division II this season. Her other two victories both came in track events as she won the 100m hurdles in 15.59 and the 400m hurdles in 1:08.18.
Eryn Sabelka recorded a first place for the Peacocks, as she set a personal record in the 400m with a time of 1:03.76.
Jasheana Tracey would also set a personal record in the 400m, as she came in second place, finishing just shy of Sabelka with a time of 1:04.98.
Carolina Regalado garnered a second-place finish in the 100m, as she posted a time of 12.79. She added a fifth-place mark in the 200m, as she crossed the finish line in 27.94.
Kiana Maghanoy placed third overall in the discus throw, where she recorded a season-best throw of 39.34m. She added a 40.12m mark in the hammer throw, where she finished eighth overall.
Jordan Sekafetz posted a time of 16.43 in the 100m hurdles, to take fourth place. She added a second fourth place finish which came in the 400m hurdles, as she completed the race in 1:18.92. Sekafetz rounded out events with a sixth-place finish in the long jump, where she recorded a 4.57m jump.
Myah Brinker achieved two personal records on the day which came in the discus throw and hammer throw. Brinker placed fifth overall in the discus throw with a 37.73m throw, and she added a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw with a 40.81m mark. Brinker also recorded a sixth-place finish in the shot put, with a throw of 11.51m.
Bailey Nordyke recorded a sixth-place finish in the 400m hurdles, as she crossed the finish line in 1:22.47. She added a ninth-place mark in the 100m hurdles, recording a time of 18.25.
Maile Kehano accumulated an eighth-place finish in the 200m, recording a time of 29.25.
The 4x400m Relay team of Dodds, Tracey, Sabelka and Hutchinson garnered Upper Iowa final first place on the day as they won the race with a time of 4:18.89.
Dodds, Hutchinson, Kehano and Regalado would also record a season best time of 50.45 in the 4x100m relay, taking second place.
The Peacocks will be back in action in just a few days as they take on the Loras Easter Invite on Wednesday, Apr. 16 at 2 p.m. in Dubuque, Iowa.
