INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Upper Iowa men's wrestling team competed at the Luther Hill Invitational this past weekend. The Peacocks had five wrestlers place, with Owen Denstad and Preston Klostermann taking first place. 

Denstad took first at 149 pounds in the freshman/sophomore division. He defeated Logan Crowther of Iowa Western CC, 7-3, in the championship match. Klostermann won at 157 pounds in the freshman/sophomore division, defeating Cy Peterson of Nebraska Wesleyan, 6-3. 

Brock Shaha took second place in the freshman/sophomore division at 133 pounds. He went 3-1 and recorded two wins via fall. Cael Bridgewater took fifth at 149 pounds winning via tech fall over Mason Scholtz of Benedictine College, 20-5. Chase Wickwire placed sixth in the 184 pound open. 

Cale Nash competed at 149 pounds and John Arambasich competed at 197 pounds, both going 2-2. Jonah Luensman and Kaden Kremer went 1-2 at 141 and 149, respectively. 

The Peacocks officially start the season on Friday with a dual against Hawkeye Community College. Action starts at 7 p.m. in Dorman Memorial Gymnasium.
