FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa football (8-2, 6-1 GLVC) moved up two spots to No. 7 in the third edition of the NCAA Super Region Three rankings. This is the last edition of the rankings before the final field of teams is released on Sunday.

The top eight teams make the Super Region Three Playoffs. There are four regions, putting 32 teams in the Division II Playoffs nationwide. The NCAA Division II Playoffs Selection Show is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Sunday and will air on NCAA.com. 

The same 10 teams from the last two rankings were featured once again this week. Ferris State (Mich.) (10-0) remained in the top spot after a double overtime win against Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) (5-5) this past weekend. Ferris State is the only representative from the GLIAC. 

Findlay (Ohio) (10-0) remained in second, UIndy (9-1, 7-0 GLVC) remained in third and Ashland (Ohio) (8-2) stayed in fourth. Findlay defeated Ashland, 14-3, this past weekend. 

There was a changeup after that as Minnesota Duluth (8-1) moved up to No. 5 and Minnesota State (7-2) moved up to No. 6. The Mavericks beat Augustana (S.D.) (8-1) this past weekend, dropping the Vikings to No. 8 behind Upper Iowa.

Northwood (Mich.) (8-2) moved up one spot after beating Tiffin (Ohio) (6-4) in overtime, 40-37. Truman State (7-3, 6-1 GLVC) fell from No. 7 to No. 10 despite getting a win against William Jewell (Mo.) (2-8, 0-7 GLVC) on Saturday. 

There are three teams from the G-MAC, NSIC and GLVC all in the rankings. The NSIC is the only conference with three in the top eight. 

Upper Iowa faces UIndy on Saturday, Nov. 15, in Indianapolis at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT for a share of the GLVC Championship and an opportunity for both teams to boost their resumes.
