FAYETTE, Iowa – The Peacock men's soccer team travels to St. Louis this weekend for a pair of GLVC contests. They'll face Missouri-St. Louis (4-4-5, 3-3-4 GLVC) on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by a Sunday matchup against Maryville (Mo.) (7-5-1, 6-4 GLVC) at 2:30 p.m.

Upper Iowa competed in two home matches last week. On Friday, the team tied with Missouri S&T (7-3-3, 5-3-2 GLVC), 1-1 and lost on Sunday against Lincoln (Mo.) (8-0-4, 6-04 GLVC), 3-2.
Alejandro Sanchez led the team statistically with two goals scored against Lincoln, while having seven shots and four shots on goal during the week.
Timur Nagy netted his third goal of the season against the Miners and recorded an assist against the Blue Tigers.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Sanchez leads the team with five goals, four assists, 32 shots and 19 shots on goal. He ranks second in the GLVC in both shots and shots on goal. He's also tied for third in assists and has the sixth-most total points (14).
Noah Nymark-Pedersen has 39 saves on the season. He ranks sixth in the GLVC in saves per game (3.25). UIU as a team ranks fifth in the GLVC in total saves (52).
AROUND THE GLVC
Southwest Baptist's midfielder Zinedine Cherik took home Offensive Player of the Week and its goalie, Jan-Henry
Schäfer earned Defensive Player of the Week. Cherik scored three goals and four shots on goal, while
Schäfer had nine saves and one shutout.
Rockhurst (8-0-2, 9-2-2 GLVC) moved one spot to No. 17 and Lincoln moved down one spot to No. 21 in the national coaches' poll. RU is also the first team to clinch a GLVC tournament berth.
ABOUT THE TRITONS – Friday 3 p.m.
Missouri – St. Louis beat UIndy (8-3-3, 6-3-2 GLVC), 1-0, last Friday and then lost, 1-0, to Lewis (Mo.) (3-4-3, 4-4-6 GLVC) on Sunday.
Five players have scored two goals for the Tritons: Melo Mensah, Tommy Wortham, Maximillian Matarelli, Colton Milosch and Alexander Ramierez Aoueiss. Roman Ryabchenko leads the team in shots with 12, followed by Pablo Nodar and Kyler Sorber with 11. Sorber, Mario Garcia, Mensah and Michael Quinn each have two assists.
Goalie Jack Franklin has 33 saves on the season and a save percentage of 76.7%.
Head coach Josh Alderson is in his third season with Missouri-St. Louis. He has an overall record of 15-18-13.
ABOUT THE SAINTS– Sunday 2:30 p.m.
Maryville beat Illinois Springfield (2-9-3, 1-8-2 GLVC), 2-1 last Friday and lost, 5-2, to Indianapolis. Jan Fulnek and Tommy Barrell each have two assists on the season.
The Saints' Sebastian Weitlaner has a team-high seven goals and a team-high 24 shots. Fulnek and Tommy Barrell both lead the team with two assists.
Asgrimur Vidission and Steen Nielsen each share goalkeeping duties. Vidisson has 21 saves and a save percentage of 75% during the seven games he played, while Nielsen has 17 saves and a save percentage of 68% during the six games he played.
Second-year head coach Adam Hall has an overall record of 16-7-4 at Maryville.
