PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Alejandro Sanchez was named to the 2025 D2CAA All-Midwest Region Second Team, becoming the first Peacock to earn an All-Region honor since 2017. 

During the 17 games Sanchez played in, he recorded six goals, six assists, 44 shots, 24 shots on goal and 18 points, which were all team bests. In the GLVC, he was first in shots and shots on goal, third in assists and sixth in goals. The senior midfielder took home All-GLVC Second Team accolades this season.  

Cedarville's (OH) Michael Cantanzarite won the D2CAA Midwest Region Player of the Year. He recorded 10 goals while leading the GMAC in goals per game (0.625). Six of those goals were game-winning goals. Cantanzarite led his team to an 11-0-7 regular season and a No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. 

The GLVC had the most All-Region Team selections with 10. The conference had four First Team and six Second Team selections. GLVC foe Rockhurst, ended up with the most All-Region selections with five.  

Sanchez is the 10th Peacock to be selected on an All-Region team since 2009. The latest winners were Ruairdh Crawford and Italo Martins Soares in 2017. 

Crawford appeared in 17 games with 13 starts, totaling a team second-best 23 shots and three assists. Martins Soares started 15 out of the 17 games played, scored the second most goals on the team with seven and tied the team-high in assists with four.
