Upper Iowa men's wrestling wrapped up their portion of open tournaments on this year's schedule at the BVU Open in Storm Lake, Iowa, hosted by Buena Vista University. The tournament consisted of 15 schools with representation from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
Joe Ebaugh (149) and
Ryan Steffen (174) finished with the highest place for the Peacocks coming in eighth. Other team participants were
Colby Lopez at 149 (1-2),
Jackson Rolfs at 157 (4-1),
Reily Dolan at 157 (1-2),
John Ebaugh at 157 (2-2),
Gunner Rodgers at 174 (2-2) and
Raife Smart at 197 (2-2).
A trio of unattached wrestlers fared well in the BVU Open.
Jackson Heaston took first in the 125 class, while
Dawson Schmit (125) and
Josh Glendening's (197) both came in third, respectively.
The Peacocks compete in their first dual of the season at home as they host Davenport University on Friday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.
