The Peacock outdoor track and field teams had a solid day in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the Mustang Invitational hosted by Mount Mercy University. The Peacock women's team scored 98 points and placed fourth in a 10-team field and broke seven meet or facility records, while the men's team tallied 69 points to place fifth in a 10-team field and broke five meet or facility records.
 
Nailea Espinoza (100m), Maddie Stevens (200m), and the 4x100m relay team all claimed event titles. Espinoza ran a time of 11.89 seconds in the 100 meters to set a new facility record, while Stevens set a new event, facility and Upper Iowa record in the 200 meters with a time of 25.17. Espinoza, Stevens, Zakaria Fuller and Jordan Sekafetz set a new event record with a time of 49.39 to win the 4x100 meter relay.
 
Sekafetz placed second in the 100m hurdles (15.58s), while Kysta Ramirez placed third (16.94). Stevens added a third-place run in the 100m (12.22s), while Fuller placed fourth in the 400m (1:03.70) and fifth in the 200m (25.74s).
 
Ashley Donovan placed second in the 3k steeplechase (13:33.62), while Brianna Crouch and Macey White placed sixth (21:06.76) and eighth (21:50.83), respectively, in the 5K and both broke the event record with their runs. Kiana Maghanoy threw a fourth-best mark of 38.7 meters in the discus, while Brittiney Harris placed fifth in the high jump (1.5 m), Jade Martin took fourth in the long jump (4.66 m) and Genevieve Chenowith placed fifth in the pole vault (2.6 m) surpassing the event record.
 
Jaylen Hobson and Kai Bateman each won an event title and placed third in their other jumping event to account for 34 of the team's points. Hobson won the long jump with a leap of 6.85 meters to set a new event record, while Bateman set a new event mark in the triple jump and claimed the top mark of 14.05 meters. Bateman placed third in the long jump (6.57 m) and Hobson placed third in the triple jump (13.78 m). The pair combined with Kehinde Afolabi and Cameron Green to place fourth in the 4x100 relay (44.07s).
 
Nathan Goranson placed second in the 800m race and broke the event and Upper Iowa record with a time of 1:58.00, while Austin Bittenbender and Macklin Conrad placed second and third in the javelin with throws of 50.20m and 49.10m, respectively.
