PEACOCK HUE REVIEW… Upper Iowa faced Davenport and Purdue Northwest in their most recent matches. While in Grand Rapids, the Peacocks fell to the Panthers 4-1. The Panthers struck first with a goal at the 6:15 mark. Upper Iowa answered back in the 29th minute of the match. As Davenport looked to reset offensively and pass back to their keeper, Upper Iowa put on their high pressure defense.
Gerardo Romo shot the ball, and as it tipped off the keeper's hand, Mamud swooped in to finish it off as he tucked it away into the back of the net. This was Mamud's first goal of the season and first of his Peacock career. Romo tallied his first assist of the year and first of his career, as well. The score remained 1-1 after the first half concluded. The Panthers went on to score three more goals in the second half, securing the 4-1 victory.
In their second contest of the weekend, the Peacocks played to a scoreless draw with Purdue Northwest. Upper Iowa picked up their first tie of the season and recorded their first conference point. Frider Blunk led the team with three shot attempts while
Edward Stephens-Truman and
Dexter Garrett each chipped in with one.

The whole unit is starting to come together more and perform better."
