The Upper Iowa men's soccer team checked in at No. 12 in the the first two NCAA DII Men's Soccer Regional Rankings.
The second version of the regional rankings included records through Monday, Oct. 31. The Peacocks made an appearance in the 12th spot following their penultimate weekend of play after winning 2-0 over Northwood University and playing Saginaw Valley State University to a 1-1 tie on the road. Upper Iowa maintained its hold on the No. 12 spot in the most recent regional rankings following a 1-1 weekend in which they lost to a University of Wisconsin - Parkside squad that is ranked No. 3 in the regional rankings and finished with a share of the GLIAC regular season championship before claiming a 4-2 win over Northern Michigan University.
The Peacocks finished the season with a 10-6-1 (7-6-1 GLIAC) record following a 2-1 win at home over St. Cloud State University on Nov. 4 to close their regular season. UIU's 10-6-1 record matches their in-region record as they opened their season by going 3-0 against non-conference opponents in the region.
Upper Iowa was joined by three other Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schools with Wisconsin-Parkside at No. 3, Davenport University at No. 10, and Saginaw Valley State at No. 11.
The Peacocks will play Purdue University - Northwest in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals on Monday, Nov. 8 at 12 p.m. in Hammond, Ind.
The NCAA DII Men's Soccer Championships are scheduled to be played from Dec. 9-11.
