The Upper Iowa women's bowling team continued its 2020-21 season placing fourth at the Warhawk Invitational on Jan. 30 - 31 at Rock River Lanes in Fort Atkinson, Wis. The tournament was hosted by the nation's 16th ranked, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
On day one, the team competed in traditional match play format. Upper Iowa went 2-2 on the day. The Peacocks dropped their first pair of games to Lewis University (930-849) and No. 18 Maryville University (977-818). UIU then claimed back-to-back wins over Valparaiso University (899-866) and the No. 16 Warhawks (932-888). UIU's final win of the day over UWW was their second victory over a ranked opponent this season.
Competing for the Peacocks in traditional play was Deanna Hopkins (943), Ashlyn Burkeybile (926) Kendra Anifer (863), Alex Dombrowski (760), Isabelle Bergsbaken (127), and Abigail Matula (122).
On day two, the team competed in baker match play format. The Peacocks struggled dropping all four games to No. 16 Wisconsin-Whitewater (949-785), Valparaiso (959-772), No. 18 Maryville (985-817), and Lewis (939-898).
