Brinn Grunder finished 14th out of 24 competitors in the shot put at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 25 in Kingsville, Texas.
Â

Her top mark came on her final throw after a toss of 13.31 meters on her first throw and a foul in her second attempt. When the dust settled after the second flight she had fallen to 14th place.
Lindsay Baker of Ashland University won the national championship with a season's best throw of 16.49 meters. The heave came on her first attempt in the finals.
Desirea Buerge of Missouri Southern State University threw a career best 16.38 meters on her first attempt in the finals to secure second, while Zada Swoopes of West Texas A&M University and Payton Roberts of Missouri Southern State recorded top throws of 16.19 and 16.06 meters, respectively, to round out the top four.
