Upper Iowa Athletics and the Peacock Athletic Fund (PAF) are proud to launch a brand new website dedicated to department and program fundraising. UIUPeacocks.com/Donate offers countless features never available before to donors and supporters to streamline the process for them to both donate to and share the message of Peacock Athletics.
"Everyone in our department is excited for this new giving site that will help each of our programs enhance their fundraising efforts," stated UIU Director of Athletics Rick Hartzell. "Growth in fundraising has become an essential piece for our future operations, and we feel this new giving platform allows us to maximize our potential."
The new website provides each individual team with a branded giving page to streamline their fundraising goals. In addition to hosting the giving portal for online donations, there are tools that allow for anyone to share the site via Facebook & Facebook Messenger, text message or email, directly from the site. Set up similar to crowdfunding websites, UIUPeacocks.com/Donate provides an avenue for people to easily become a part of the PAF family through either donations or assisting with potential donor recruitment. The site is also mobile friendly, providing ease of use for potential donors whether viewing from their computer, tablet or a mobile device.
"This site allows our loyal supporters to help further spread our messages through the new features included on the pages," Hartzell continued. "Fundraising is a total team effort, and this site gives us a tremendous opportunity to expand our team by allowing more people to get involved with helping us recruit and retain donors."
Donations are being accepted via credit card directly through the website. Each sport program has targeted a goal of total donors to hit for the year, as indicated on their individual giving pages. Programs will also run targeted campaigns throughout the year at the times that work best for each sport to maximize their efforts and impact the most pressing current needs for each program.
Those wishing to donate by means other than credit card, can do so by downloading a donor form on the PAF section under the "Support" tab at UIUPeacocks.com. All donations made to Peacock Athletics or its programs are eligible for appropriate PAF benefits, such as access to exclusive donor areas, unique athletic department gifts and invites to other special events throughout the year.
