Recap
The Peacocks hit a road block on Friday night in a Northern Sun Conference match against the Cougars of Sioux Falls University. Upper Iowa fell behind early and dropped all three sets to USF, 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15 as the Peacocks managed just 24 kills and a .097 hitting percentage in the match.

The Cougars doubled-up the Peacocks early in the first set, 16-8, thanks to three kills from Emily Johnson who finished with eight on the night. UIU could not catch up as USF coasted to a 25-17 victory to steal any early momentum.Â
In the second set, UIU trailed again, 13-3, but rallied late in the set. It wasn't enough as USF took a two games to none lead into halftime. USF earned a .600 hitting percentage in the second set, crushing 13 kills while making just one error on 20 total attacks. UIU, on the other hand, hit a measly .125 in that set.
Upper Iowa showed signs of life in third set tying the match early, 13-13. Yet, USF used a 12-2 run to finish out the game and the match to improve to 11-6 overall this year.
The Cougars finished with a .408 hitting percentage and a total of 39 kills.
