Today’s Northern Sun Conference Dual... UIU welcomes the Dragons of MSU Moorhead to Dorman for tonight’s NSIC dual. The Peacocks have successfully defended their home this year posting a 3-0 record in Fayette. UIU has won their first four NSIC duals to open the conference season thanks to wins at Northern State (41-4) and U-Mary (32-7) and at home against Southwest Minnesota State (28-9) and Minnesota State (24-12).

Peacocks in the Polls... Upper Iowa is currently ranked #3, tied with Augustana, in the latest NWCA Top 20 Poll and six individuals are also ranked in the top 8 in the nation. The ranked Peacocks are Kyle Pedretti (125, #1), Trevor Franklin (133, #1), Wade Gobin (174, #6), Mitch Schultz (184, #4), Carl Broghammer (197, #4), and Zach Rosol (285, #6).

Probable Peacock starters include... 125 - Pedretti (16-2) || 133 - Franklin (17-0) || 141 - Blake Hilmer (13-16) || 149 - Jordan Rinken (24-5) || 157 - Winston Robbins (22-7) || 165 - Blake Sorensen (16-8) || 174 - Gobin (27-10) || 184 - Schultz (20-5) || 197 - Broghammer (22-7) || 285 - Rosol (18-4).

Scouting the Dragons... The Dragons (2-6, 1-3 NSIC) are coming off a 31-6 loss at Minnesota State last night. MSU Moorhead is led by Corey Ulmer. The Dragons’ 125-pounder, who has qualified for the NCAA Championships twice and placed 7th last season to earn All-American honors.

Probable Dragon starters include... 125-Corey Ulmer (#2 NCAA, R-Sr., 18-2) || 133-Graelin Garlington (R-Jr., 0-8) || 141-Connor MacGregor (So., 3-14) || 149-Tyler Steinwand (R-Sr., 9-8) || 157-Derek Lee (Fr., 2-9) || 165-Jacob Bennett (R-Jr., 15-8) || 174-Trent Sovde (R-Sr., 9-7) || 184-Kody Kalkbrenner (So., 4-9) || 197-Eric Lehmann (Fr., 9-8) || 285-Gerad Fugleberg (R-So., 9-11).

On the Horizon... Upper Iowa has one more home dual this season before heading to St. Cloud, Minn. for their final NSIC dual and the NCAA Super Regional. The Peacocks will face the #3 Vikings of Augustana College on Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m.
