Brett Fanning, UIU's ace on the baseball pitching staff, didn't need much for run support on Saturday in Sioux Falls. Fanning was in control on the mound throwing his sixth complete game of the season to improve to 5-2 on the year. The redshirt junior allowed one run on two hits while striking out a pair of Cougars. UIU won the game 6-1 to open the NSIC weekend series.
