Upper Iowa University Athletics

Jon Anderson fired the weekend's low round today at the fall half of the NSIC Men's Golf Championship.  The senior carded a 70 today to move up to third place at the midway point of the championship. Anderson shot a 78 on the first day and will head to the spring half at +6.

The Peacocks put together a round of 305 this afternoon following their first day score of 319.  The team trails a pair of second place squads, Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul, by 11 strokes. 

In addition to Anderson's great round, Upper Iowa got a 77 from Landon Vinger and three 79's from Thomas Guyer, Hunter Voigts and Jake Nelson.

Guyer is tied for 11th, while Voigts is tied for 28th and Vinger is tied for 34th.  Nelson's second round was an eleven-stroke improvement over his first round and now he is tied for 50th.
