Second Place at the Midwest Classic at 157 pounds with a 4-1 record
His four wins included a pair of victories over ranked opponents (Dennis Flores-#6-Newberry (Dec. 6-2) and Josh Ballard-#4-McKendree (Dec. 13-6))
Lost in a 1-0 decision to Joey White of Findlay in the finals
Improved his season record to 18-4

UIU placed five at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
Peacocks (ranked #19) placed fifth at the high-powered tourney defeating 5 ranked teams and four others receiving votes
Colbey Vance (165) and Logan Hopp (285) both placed fifth, while Matt Paulus (133) and Jordan Roths (141) each placed sixth.
Garrett Wangsness (125) and Blake Sorensen (184 pounds) won two matches each, while Duane Richardson (149) and Dalton Westerlund (174) earned one win each.
Upper Iowa will be off the mats until their dual with UW-LaCrosse on Jan. 2 in New Hampton, Iowa.
