FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa men's golf is set for action at The Jewel Invitational hosted by Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.) on Monday, Sept. 21 and Tuesday, Sept. 22. This will be the 11th straight fall season the Peacocks have played at The Jewel Golf Club dating back to 2015.
LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks finished 10th at the Maverick Fall Brawl in Hudson, Wisconsin, this past week. UIU shot back-to-back rounds of 317 (+33) for a total of 634 (+66).
Dylan Burns made his return after a year off with the team, tying for 26th. He shot 76 (+5) in round one and 78 (+7) in round two for a total of 154 (+12). Burns led the Peacocks in pars with 20 and tied for the team lead with four birdies.
Jaxx Johnson, Bryce Yearian and Dawson Fuelling all tied for 44th place after shooting 160 (+18). Joseph Grau tied for 58th with a score of 166 (+24). Johnson tied for the team lead in birdies with four.
UMary (N.D.) took first place with a score of 590 (+22), edging out Concordia-St. Paul at 592 (+24). Bemidji State (Minn.) had the best individual round of any team with a 291 (+7) in the second round, finishing third with a team score of 599 (+31).
MEET INFO
The Jewel Golf Club course played at 7,012 yards last season from the women's tees. The course features three par fives, 11 par fours and four par threes for a par of 71.
2025 JEWEL INVITATIONAL
UIU tied for eighth at the 2025 Jewel Invitational after shooting 588 (+12). Christian Burkhart led the Peacocks with a 27th-place finish, shooting 146 (+2).
Winona State won the tournament with a score of 546 (-30). The Warriors shot a team-best 270 (-18) in the second round. Bemidji State finished second with a score of 560 (-16).
UP NEXT
Peacock men's golf has a week off before heading to a tournament hosted by a GLVC team at the Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate. It takes place at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Illinois, on Oct. 5-6.
