LEMONT, Ill. - Upper Iowa men's golf competed in the Flyer Fall Intercollegiate on Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6. The meet was hosted at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club.
Upper Iowa finished 14th as a team with an overall score of 957 (+93). UIU's best round was the first round, when they shot 317 (+29).
Dylan Burns took a Peacock-best 39th place, shooting 234 (+18). The Senior led the team with six birdies and 28 pars.
Dawson Fuelling placed 48th with a total score of 237 (+21). He recorded two birdies and an eagle during his second round, posting his best score of the tournament with a 75 (+3).
Jayden Rios placed 67th, shooting 243 (+27). Joseph Grau claimed 70th, scoring 244 (+28). Jaxx Johnson finished 77th, totaling 249 (+33). Bryce Yearian took 82nd, shooting 252 (+36).
Missouri-St. Louis won the tournament with an overall score of 875 (+11). The team shot 289 (+1) in round one. Quincy (Ill.) claimed second with a score of 890 (+26). Wisconsin-Parkside posted a third-place finish with a score of 901 (+37).
Ludvig Granlund of Missouri-St. Louis won the meet individually, shooting 214 (-2). His teammate Logan Mayo tied with Colby Robertson of Quincy and Evan Monaghan for second place. Each golfer shot 218 (+2).
UIU men's golf wraps up the fall session at the Bearcat Dual Gender on Monday, Oct. 19, and Tuesday, Oct. 20. The meet takes place at the Far Oaks Golf Club.
