FAYETTE, Iowa - Peacock men's golf is set to compete in the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The meet takes place at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Illinois.
LAST TIME OUT
Upper Iowa last golfed in the Concordia-St. Paul Jewel Invitational on Sept. 21 and 22. The team took eighth place, with a score of 613 (+37).
Joseph Grau notched 16th, scoring 148 (+4). He shot back-to-back rounds of 74 (+2), which marks a career-low. The Senior recorded a tournament 10th-best 22 pars.
Dylan Burns shot a pair of 76 (+4) rounds, placing 36th with an overall score of 152 (+8). He Grau and Jaxx Johnson tied for a team-high 22 pars. Johnson finished 46th with a score of 155 (+11).
Bryce Yearian totaled a score of 158 (+14). Dawson Fuelling ended with a score of 164 (+20). Cale Kleppe wrapped up the tournament with a score of 168 (+24).
Winona State (Minn.) took first with a score of 577 (+1). Sioux Falls (S.D.) finished second with a score of 583 (+7). Bemidji State placed third with a score of 585 (+9).
MEET INFO
The competition features 11 other teams. The teams are from Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin. Quincy (Ill.), Lincoln (Mo.), Maryville (Mo.), McKendree (Ill.), William Jewell (Mo.) and Lewis (Ill.) are the teams competing from the GLVC.
The Cog Hill Golf & Country Club has four courses. The first three courses are rolling, wooden terrain. Course four is known as the "Patriarch of Public Golf," and rivals private club golf courses.
2025 FLYERS FALL INTERCOLLEGIATE
UIU took ninth with a score of 950 (+86) in last years meet. Former Peacock Owen Davison took a team-best eighth place, scoring 228 (+12).
Wisconsin-Parkside won the tournament, recording a score of 900 (+36). The Rangers shot a meet-low 294 (+6) in round one. Trine finished second with a score of 915 (+51).
UP NEXT
Upper Iowa concludes the fall portion of their season at the Bearcat Dual Gender on Monday, Oct.19 and Tuesday, Oct. 20. The meet is played at the Far Oaks GC in Caseyville, Illinois.
