FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa men's golf competes in the Iowa Central Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The competition is held at the Fort Dodge Country Club in Fort Dodge.
LAST TIME OUT
Men's golf finished sixth, shooting 321 (+33) at the Upper Iowa Invitational. Jack Miller took a team-best sixth place, scoring 78 (+6). Jayden Rios and Ethan Anderson tied for 15th, totaling 80 (+8).
Christian Burkhart and Ethan Cahalan tied for 22nd, scoring 81 (+9). Joseph Grau tied for 30th, totaling 82 (+10). Owen Davison tied for 48th, shooting 85 (+13). Jaxx Johnson tied for 58th, scoring 89 (+17).
MEET INFO
The meet features 12 other schools: Southwestern CC, Iowa Lakes CC, Loras College, Hawkeye CC, Buena Vista, Des Moines Area CC, Briar Cliff, North Iowa CC, Iowa Central CC, Alexandria Technical and CC (Minn.), Southeast CC (Neb.). There are 10 teams from Iowa and two from out of state.
The Fort Dodge Country Club is an 18-hole course that is well-suited for a variety of skill sets. Its fairways are gently rolled and its 100 percent bent grass is well-manicured. Shorts and jean slacks are allowed, but shirts must have sleeves; tank tops, cut-offs and clothing with holes or tears are not permitted.
