FORT DODGE, Iowa - UIU men's golf teed off at the Iowa Central Spring Invite on Friday and Saturday in Fort Dodge. The outing took place at Fort Dodge Country Club.
The team took fourth place with a total score of 584 (+16). Upper Iowa shot 297 (+13) on the first day and 287 (+3) on the second day. The Peacocks led the tournament in pars with 121.
Jack Miller tied for career-best third place, totaling 143 (-1). The sophomore shot 72 (E) in the first round and tied a career-low 71 (-1) in the second round. He also tied Ethan Anderson for fifth in pars with seven.
Anderson and Owen Davison tied for 10th, shooting 146 (+2). Anderson shot a career-low 71 (-1) in round one of the tournament. Davison's best round was the second round, when he shot 69 (-3).
Ethan Cahalan and Joseph Grau tied for 32nd, totaling 151 (+7). Christian Burkhart tied for 34th, scoring 152 (+8). Jaxx Johnson tied for 46th, shooting 155 (+11). Jayden Rios tied fo 75th, scoring 161 (+17).
UIU concludes the season at the GLVC championships on April 21-23 in Peru, Indiana. The championships are held at the Rock Hollow Golf Club.
