Four Peacock women’s basketball players collect All-GLVC accolades

Foster earns First Team selection, Privet earns Second Team selection and Lodermeier named to All-Freshman Team

FAYETTE, Iowa - The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced the all-conference selections for the 2025-26 women's basketball season on Wednesday. Ellie Foster earned All-GLVC First Team and All-GLVC Newcomer Team selections, Ava Privet earned All-GLVC Second Team, Kendyl Lodermeier earned All-GLVC Freshman Team and Steph Cink was the team's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree.

Foster becomes the third All-GLVC selection for the Peacocks, joining Mia Huberty in 2024-25 and Katie Tornstrom in 2023-24. She also made the All-Newcomer Team during its inaugural season this year. Foster averaged 15 points per game this season, tying for fifth in the conference. She led the GLVC and is ranked eighth in the nation in 3-pointers made with 79.

Privet joins Hubert in 2023-24 as UIU's Second Team selections. This season, Privet averaged 13 points per game overall and 14.1 points per game in conference play. In GLVC action, she ranked 10th in points per game, third in 3-pointers made (47) and fifth in 3-point percentage (38.2%).

Lodermeier becomes the first player in program history to earn an All-GLVC Freshman Team selection. The last Peacock to earn an all-freshman conference honor was Lydia Haack in 2021. This season, Lodermeier averaged 11.2 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game with four double-doubles. In GLVC action, she averaged 12 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, ranking 20th and eighth, respectively, in the conference.

Cink earned the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, given to a student-athlete who has distinguished herself through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing while also demonstrating good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. Cink is now eligible to become one of UIU's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.

The Peacocks head down to St. Louis, Missouri, for the GLVC Tournament. Upper Iowa takes on top seed Missouri-St. Louis (22-4, 18-2 GLVC) on Thursday at noon to start the tournament.
