INDIANAPOLIS - Jared Hoodjer earned the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Week award after his stellar performance against Lincoln (Mo.). He becomes the second Peacock to win the award this season, joining Gabe Bombardier on Feb. 17.
Hoodjer totaled 10 hits with two doubles, three home runs and 17 RBIs in the sweep over the Blue Tigers. It marked UIU's first GLVC sweep since joining the conference and the first sweep for the program since 2023.
Upper Iowa (11-10, 4-0 GLVC) is scheduled to host Maryville (Mo.) this weekend in Fayette. The first game of the four-game series is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at 2 p.m.

- Smacked a three-run homer and totaled six RBIs in game three's 15-3 victory
- Hit a double and a home run to total four RBIs in the 15-8 game four win
- Knocked in the go-ahead runs with a 2RBI double in game four to take a 10-8 lead
- Improved his batting average to .375 this season and slugging percentage to .896 with a team-high seven home runs
