INDIANAPOLIS - Upper Iowa women's wrestling was selected sixth in the 2026-27 GLVC Preseason Coaches' Poll. This marks the second straight season the Peacocks have been selected at that spot in the poll.

Head coach Jay Tiedemann enters his second season with the team, and it's the fourth season overall for the program. The 2026-27 women's wrestling roster features 25 newcomers.

McKendree (Ill.), the inaugural champion in the GLVC last season, took first in the preseason poll with 36 points and six first-place votes. Grand Valley State (Mich.) took second with 31 points and a first-place vote.

The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.

Upper Iowa starts the season on Nov. 6 with a home triangular against Central College and Loras College. The Peacocks are hosting five home events in Dorman Memorial Gymnasium this season.
