FAYETTE, Iowa - Peacock women's basketball (8-7, 4-3 GLVC) concludes its four-game home stretch this weekend against Quincy (Ill.) (7-7, 4-3 GLVC) and Truman State (Mo.) (8-7, 5-2 GLVC). UIU faces the Hawks the second time this season on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. and then plays the Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks went 1-1 this past weekend with a 67-62 win over UIndy (1-14, 0-7 GLVC) and a 65-53 loss to Lewis (Ill.) (8-6, 4-2 GLVC). Graduate Ellie Foster led the Peacocks on the weekend, averaging 17.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.
Bryar Duwe was the top scorer for the Peacocks in the win over the Greyhounds, totaling 17 points. She knocked down four 3-pointers in the third quarter to help the Peacocks take a 19-point lead. After a UIndy comeback to trail by three points, Foster secured the win, making an and-one layup with 12 seconds to go.
Foster was the top scorer and rebounder for the Peacocks on Saturday, recording 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds. It was not enough to overcome a 32.1% shooting mark as a team, the fourth-lowest for the Peacocks this season.
Duwe finished the weekend averaging 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and two assists. Freshman Kendyl Lodermeier averaged 11 points and five rebounds, while junior Ava Privet had an average of 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Foster continues to lead the Peacocks in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game. She's shooting 40.6% from the field and 37.5% from behind the arc. Foster averages 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
The graduate has now made a team-high 39 3-pointers, ranking first in the GLVC and 14th nationally. Foster is 12th in the GLVC in scoring average and fourth in 3-point percentage.
Privet is scoring 11.7 points per game with 4.3 rebounds per game and 1.7 assists per game. She's shooting 43.2% from the field and 42.7% from behind the arc, while making 38 3-pointers. She ranks second in the conference in both made 3-pointers and 3-point percentage.
Lodermeier is also averaging double digits at 10.2 points per game with 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. She's shooting a team-best 51.7% from the field, ranking seventh in the conference.
Duwe is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 9.3 points per game. She leads the team in rebounding with 5.1 per game while adding 2.7 assists per game. Duwe is 18th in the GLVC in rebounds per game and tied for 10th in assists.
Sydnee Nelson is adding 7.3 points per game with a team-high 3.6 assists per game. The junior point guard ranks third in the GLVC in assists per game. Lindsey Davis is averaging 6.7 points in her seven games played this season.
The Peacocks are averaging 65.3 points per game while giving up 67.1 points per game, ranking 11th and 10th in the GLVC, respectively. UIU is shooting 34.7% from behind the arc, ranking third in the conference. The Peacocks have made 124 3-pointers, the second-most in the GLVC behind Illinois Springfield (2-5, 5-10 GLVC).
AROUND THE GLVC
After the weekend, the Peacocks are tied for seventh in the GLVC with Quincy (Ill.) at 4-3 in the GLVC. Lewis is in sixth with a 4-2 conference record while Truman State and McKendree (Ill.) (8-5, 5-2 GLVC) are tied for fourth.
Missouri-St. Louis (12-2, 8-0 GLVC) remains unbeaten in conference play in first place. Drury (Mo.) (9-5, 6-1 GLVC) is in second, and Maryville (Mo.) (12-4, 6-2 GLVC) is in third place. Drury suffered its first conference loss this weekend to Missouri S&T (7-5, 3-3 GLVC).
Lewis' Ally Cesarini was named the GLVC Player of the Week after her 25-point performance against UIU. UMSL's Mara Rieder continues to lead the conference in scoring as she averages 20.9 points per game.
McKendree leads the conference in total offense, scoring 76.1 points per game. UMSL leads the conference defensively, giving up 53.3 points per game.
ABOUT THE HAWKS - Thursday at 5 p.m.
Quincy enters Thursday's matchup on a three-game winning streak. Before the streak, the Hawks had lost four straight games, including a three-point loss to Truman State and a one-point overtime loss to first-place UMSL.
UIU and Quincy met before the new year on Dec. 1 for the GLVC opener. The Peacocks won, 91-83, after breaking the program 3-point record, making 17-of-34 (50%) 3-point shots. UIU outscored the Hawks 61-36 in the middle two quarters to help get the win.
Privet scored a career-high 24 points, while Nelson had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Duwe added 19 points with six rebounds and five assists. Quincy was led by Katey Flynn with 23 points, while Hampton Williams scored 15 points.
Flynn continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.3 points while shooting 46.2% from the field and 46.8% from behind the arc. The junior guard is also adding 3.4 assists per game. She ranks seventh in the GLVC in scoring and fifth in assists.
Williams is averaging 9.6 points per game and a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game during her senior season. She's tied for 14th in the conference in rebounding. Senior center Acheampomaa Danso is averaging 9.6 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. She did not play in the previous matchup against the Peacocks.
Freshman forward Hayven Harden is averaging 9.2 points per game. Karly Peters is scoring 8.1 points per game, and Blair Eftink adds 7.3 points per game. The Hawks have six players who average 7+ points per game.
Quincy is led by first-year head coach Ali Schwagmeyer-Belger. She is a former GLVC Player of the Year for the Hawks and previously served as the head coach at John Wood CC in 2024-25.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS - Saturday at 1 p.m.
Truman went 1-1 this past weekend with a win loss against McKendree and a win vs. Illinois Springfield. The Bulldogs have won three of their four games in 2026, all in GLVC play.
Redshirt junior guard Emajin McCallop averages 14.7 points per game while shooting 47.5% from the field. She's also made 6-of-11 (54.5%) of her 3-pointers. She also adds 4.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
Freshman guard Morgan Miller has emerged for the Bulldogs, scoring 10.4 points per game and dishing out a team-high 2.7 assists per game. She's tied for 10th with Duwe in assists per game.
Junior guard Mariann Blass is scoring 10.3 points per game, and junior guard Lexie White is averaging 10 points per game. White has only played in the last five games for the Bulldogs.
Forward Mallory Ott leads the team in rebounds with six per game while scoring 8.3 points per game. She's 13th in the GLVC in rebounds per game. Freshman Avery Rausch is averaging 8.8 points per game.
Head coach Theo Dean is in his seventh season at the helm for the Bulldogs. He has a 104-79 record with Truman State.
