FAYETTE, Iowa - Haylie Hutchinson scored a goal and assisted on another in Upper Iowa's (2-1-1) 2-0 win over Jamestown (N.D.) (0-2) to wrap up nonconference play. Haylee Allen scored the first goal of the game off of Hutchinson's assist for the Haylie-to-Haylee connection. 

Sienna Johnson posted her second straight shutout at goalkeeper. The freshman totaled eight saves in the game to finish with 12 overall on the weekend. This marked the third shutout for her in four games. 

On the first goal of the game, Hutchinson chased down the ball on the left side of the field. She dribbled it up and found a sliding Allen in the middle of the net for the first score of the game in the 16th minute. 

The second goal of the game occurred in the 24th minute. Allen found Hutchinson in the middle of the field, who passed it up to Jessica Ancheta for a shot on the net. After a deflection by the Jamestown goalie, Hutchinson found the rebound and knocked it into the back of the net. 

The Peacocks held the lead in the second half despite the Jimmies outshooting them, 5-2. Johnson made three saves in the final 45 minutes. 

Hutchinson, Ancheta and Alyssa Torres each finished the game with two shots on goal. Ancheta had an assist on the Hutchinson goal. Jamestown outshot Upper Iowa 14-9 and had more corner kicks at 6-2. 

The Peacocks hit the road on Friday, Sept. 19 to start GLVC action against UIndy. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET. UIU returns home on Sunday, Sept. 21 vs. Lewis (Ill.) at 12 p.m.
