GAME ONE UIU-6, SBU-5

The Peacocks quickly took control in the first inning. Sawyer crossed the plate on a wild pitch, followed by a single from Hall, bringing in Wicklund to make it 2-0. Shortly after,
Thane Meiners came up with a big hit, singling up the middle to drive in two more runs, as Hall and Wicklund scored, putting UIU ahead 4-0.
Upper Iowa continued to add to their lead in the second inning when
Jared Grams grounded out to the pitcher, allowing
Paul Safranski to score and stretch the lead to 5-0. In the fourth, Sawyer's sacrifice fly to right field brought in Safranski to make it 6-0.

William Kiburis,
JJ Vargas and
Tyler Glowacki each made an appearance out of the bullpen. Glowacki picked up his first save on the mound this season.
