THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK BASEBALL
Peacock baseball hits the road this weekend for a four-game series against Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo., from Friday to Sunday. Game one will be on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12 p.m. The series will wrap up on Sunday with a single game at 12 p.m.
The Peacocks come into the weekend 8-11 on the year and 4-4 in league play.

REVIEW OF THE LAST ACTION
On Tuesday, the Peacocks trumped Concordia, St. Paul, 5-3 in a non-conference battle. A four-run fifth inning fueled the Peacocks' success, where they totaled four hits and took advantage of a CSP error.
Brock Zimmer led the blue and white at the plate, recording three of the team's eight hits.
Cameron Powell captured his first win on the mound this season, while
JJ Vargas snagged his second save on the year.
FIRST SHUTOUT OF THE SEASON
Upper Iowa notched its first shutout of the season last weekend, defeating Truman State in game three by a score of 5-0. Junior
Isaiah Maes threw the entire seven-inning contest, picking up his third win on the mound this season. He allowed five hits and zero runs while striking out four batters in his outing.
HOME RUN-HITTER
Gunnar Wicklund leads the GLVC in home runs on the season with 11. He is trailed by Mikey Kocen (Lewis) and Zeke Skinner (Southwest Baptist) with eight. Wicklund is hitting .356 at the plate behind 26 hits and has recorded a team-high 26 RBIs (4
th in GLVC).
ABOUT THE BEARCATS
Southwest Baptist is 10-12 on the season and 3-1 in the conference. The Bearcats have picked up three league wins over William Jewell. As a unit, SBU is hitting .281 and is led at the plate by Dominic Tellez (.371) and Lane Snow (.361). Zeke Skinner leads them in RBIs (30) and home runs (8).
ON DECK
The Peacocks return home on Tuesday, March 25 for a single non-conference game against UW Parkside at 2 p.m., followed by a four-game series that weekend in Fayette against Rockhurst.
