Peacock baseball opens action at home this weekend against Truman State in a four-game series, with a doubleheader on Friday and Saturday (12 p.m. start). UIU comes into the weekend with a 4-10 (1-3 GLVC) mark on the season, while the Bulldogs enter at 3-12 overall.

HOME RUN HITTER
Gunnar Wicklund leads the GLVC in home runs on the season with six. He is trailed by Javy Garcia and Ivan Dahlberg with five, while a handful are tied at four. Wicklund also leads the Peacocks at the plate with a .333 batting average behind 18 hits and has recorded a team-high 16 RBIs.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Truman State is 3-12 overall on the season, with the contests against Upper Iowa this weekend being its first conference action. The Bulldogs picked up two of their three wins last weekend against St. Cloud State, while their other success came against Rockhurst. Dakota Joggerst leads the team with a .388 average and 19 hits. Nick Phillips has thrown 22 innings, posting an 8.59 ERA. He has allowed 27 runs and 31 hits while striking out a team-high 11 batters.
GLVC PRESEASON POLL
Upper Iowa was voted 14
th in the GLVC Preseason Coaches' Poll after accumulating 37 votes. Indianapolis was voted in the preseason coaches' poll to win the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) baseball championship.
Trailing behind the Greyhounds to round out the top five were Maryville (174 votes), Quincy (164 votes), Drury (156) and Missouri-St. Louis (141).
