QUINCY, Ill. – UIU women's wrestling faced off in its first GLVC Dual of the season. The bout featured three nationally ranked teams on Sunday: No. 3 Grand Valley State, No. 12 Northern Michigan and No. 2 McKendree.
In the Peacocks lost their first matchup of the day to the Lakers, 45-5, their second dual to the Wildcats, 38-0 and their last bout of the day to the Bearcats, 49-0. Bentley Hills (103) gave Upper Iowa its only points of the day. Eliana Callies (160) and Mya Mendoza (180) also wrestled for UIU.
Upper Iowa travels to Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday, Dec. 14, in the Avila (Mo.) Women's Eagle Open. The Avila Eagles last competed on Nov. 22 in the Missouri Valley Open.
