FAYETTE, Iowa - The Peacock women's wrestling team started the season on Saturday at the Pointer Open hosted by Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Eliana Callies and Kylee Shoop both scored three points for Upper Iowa.

Callies won by fall in the first round over Makayla Howard of Aurora University (Ill.) at 145 pounds. Shoop won via forfeit over Mya Delleree of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the second consolation round at 131 pounds.

The Peacocks return to action next weekend at the Waldorf Open, on Saturday, Nov. 8, set to begin at 9 a.m. in Forest City.
