FAYETTE, Iowa - Peacock women's soccer (3-12-2, 1-11-1 GLVC) fell to No. 24 McKendree (11-1-4, 11-1-1) on a cold Friday afternoon, 4-0. Haylee Allen led the Peacocks with two shots on goal in the loss.
McKendree scored three goals in the first half and one goal in the second half. Aubrey Andrews led the Bearcats with two goals on the day, both unassisted.
For the Peacocks, Stephany Castillo added two shots with one shot on goal. Catherine Wolf had a shot on goal, while Melanie Mejia and Aeryn Hatico each had a shot. Castillo, Rhea Buchanan, Natalie Lima, Myriah Roybal and Meghan Zwicker played the entire game.
Isabelle Wagner played the entire game at goalkeeper for Upper Iowa. She totaled nine saves in the contest.
The Bearcats outshot Upper Iowa, 25-7, with an 11-3 advantage in the first half and a 14-4 advantage in the second half. McKendree had the advantage on corner kicks, 7-1, but committed more fouls, 11-10.
Upper Iowa concludes the season on Sunday against Illinois-Springfield (2-10-3, 1-9-2 GLVC). Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Harms-Eischeid Stadium against the Prairie Stars.
