ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Upper Iowa women's cross-country competed in the 42nd GLVC women's 6K Championships on Saturday.
Eryn Sabelka led Upper Iowa in 107
th with a time of 26:56.57. At the 5K mark of the race, she clocked a time of 22:45.42
Lisbeth Trinidad-Valerio finished in 32:24.44,
Cheyanna Thompson-Williams crossed the line in 35:46.85,
Jasheana Tracey followed with a time of 35:56.88 and
Rio Johnson rounded out the Peacock lineup at 39:29.34. As a team, Upper Iowa placed 14th overall with a total of 417 points.
Maddie Miller-Ross of Illinois-Springfield claimed the individual title and the 2025 Runner of the Year honor with a winning time of 17:58.89. Lewis (Ill.) captured the team championship with a score of 40, placing two runners in the top five, while Southwest Baptist (Mo.) finished second with 68 points.
