FAYETTE, Iowa- Upper Iowa women's wrestling was selected sixth in the GLVC Preseason Poll. UIU received 12 points in the preseason poll. 
 
First-year head coach Jay Tiedemann will lead the Peacocks in the program's third season.
 
McKendree topped the poll with 35 points and five first-place votes, while Grand Valley State took second with 32 points and two first-place votes. Upper Iowa finished ahead of Davenport by six points.
 
The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
 
The Peacocks' first meet of the season will be the Pointer Open at Wisconsin Stevens-Point.
