CASEYVILLE, Ill. - The Upper Iowa women's golf team took 10th at McKendree's Bearcat Dual Gender on Tuesday. The Peacocks were led by Fern Babinski, tying for 24th with a total of 243 (+27) in this fall's final tournament. 

The Peacocks improved every round as a team with scores of 347 (+59), 330 (+42) and 329 (+41) for a total of 1,006 (+142) in the three-round tournament. Upper Iowa finished two strokes behind Rockhurst (Mo.) in eighth place. 

Babinski recorded rounds of 84 (+12), 82 (+10) and 77 (+5). The freshman's third-round score is the best of her young career. She led the team in pars with 25 while adding five birdies. The 24th-place finish is her best this season.

Delaney Martin tied for 37th with a total of 249 (+33). She shot rounds of 82 (+10), 80 (+8) and 84 (+12). The graduate found a groove on hole one, hitting an eagle in both the first and second rounds. She was one of two players to have two eagles. Martin also had four birdies and 18 pars. 

Lizzy Ellis placed 40th with a score of 251 (+35) after rounds of 90 (+18), 80 (+8) and 81 (+9). She had a team-high six birdies with 21 pars. Addison Weber tied for 52nd at 263 (+47) and Brynn Bonefas placed 60th at 276 (+60). 

Lewis (Ill.) won the Bearcat Dual Gender with a team score of 922 (+58). The Flyers shot 301 (+13) in the second round and 303 (+15) in the third round, which were the two best team rounds at the tournament. Illinois-Springfield finished in second, 12 strokes behind Lewis. 

Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro from Maryville (Mo.) and Kendall Farm from Lewis tied for first with a total of 223 (+7). Elaine Grant of Illinois-Springfield placed third with a score of 228 (+12).
