Box Score FAYETTE, Iowa – Upper Iowa men's soccer (3-7-2, 2-5-2 GLVC) and Missouri S&T both scored goals in the final minutes of the game to finish in a 1-1 draw.
Timur Nagy netted the lone goal for the Peacocks in the 70th minute, sending a shot to the lower right corner of the net with his right foot. The play was set up by James Moody, who worked down the left side and zipped a pass past several defenders to find Nagy about seven yards out.
Just one minute later, in the 71st minute, Missouri S&T's Sam Bressette responded with a goal of his own to even the score.
Nagy was one of five UIU players to record a shot in the match, joining Dexter Garrett, Moody, Alejandro Sanchez and Jeremiah Goko. Moody tallied the team's only assist.
Goalkeeper Noah Nymark-Pedersen played the full 90 minutes and totaled four saves on the night.
UIU was outshot 9-5, committed more fouls (7-5), and finished with fewer corner kicks (7-3).
Upper Iowa has two home games next week, with the first one on Friday at 5 p.m. against Missouri S&T (2-2-4, 3-3-5 GLVC) and the second one on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against No. 20 Lincoln (Mo.) (7-0-3, 5-0-3 GLVC).
