FAYETTE, Iowa – Upper Iowa men's soccer (3-7-1, 2-5-1 GLVC) faces Missouri S&T (6-3-2, 4-3-1 GLVC) at 5 p.m. on Friday and No. 20 Lincoln (Mo.) (7-0-3, 5-0-3 GLVC) at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Harms Family Field.

In the Peacocks' first match last week, they won, 2-1, against Southern Baptist (Mo.) (4-7-2, 1-6-2 GLVC), and in their second match, they lost, 4-2, against Drury (3-3-5, 3-3-3 GLVC).
Arnas Kurakinas is the second player on the team this season to win UIU's Men's Player of the Week. He had two assists and played the full 90 minutes in both games. Florian Deick and Abraham Navarro each netted a goal in the SBU game, while Julian Mesen and John Pranger each netted a goal in the DU match
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Sanchez leads the team with three goals, four assists, 25 shots and 15 shots on goal. He ranks fifth in the GLVC in shots, third in shots on goal, tied for third in assists and is eighth in total points (10).
Nymark-Pedersen has 34 saves on the season. He ranks sixth in the GLVC in saves per game (3.40). UIU as a team ranks third in the GLVC in total saves (46).
AROUND THE GLVC
Drury's Carson Morgan won GLVC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and one assist, while playing 180 minutes last week. Missouri S&T's Cavitt Bruhn won GLVC Defensive Player of the Week after having ten saves, two shutouts and playing the full 180 minutes.
Rockhurst (8-2-2, 7-0-2 GLVC) jumped to No. 17 after previously being unranked. The jump comes after two shutout victories last week—a 1-0 win over Quincy (6-3-2, 4-3-1 GLVC) and a 3-0 win over Truman State (3-5-2, 2-5-1 GLVC). The Blue Tigers stay put at No. 20.
ABOUT THE MINERS – Friday 5 p.m.
Missouri S&T tied, 0-0, with UIndy (7-2-3, 5-2-2 GLVC) last Friday and beat Lewis (Mo.) (3-4-5, 2-4-2 GLVC), 4-0, on Sunday.
The leading scorer for S&T is Joao Viera, who has four goals. He's followed by Brendan Owens, Mike Bansik and Joseph Sommer who all have three goals. The program's leaders in assists are Sommer and Sam Bresettr, who both have three. Luke Giesing has a team-high 21 shots on the season.
Goalkeeper Jan-Henry Schafer has 39 saves on the season and a save percentage of 75%.
Head coach Robert Cummings is in his eighth season with the Bearcats. He currently has an overall record of 42-64-20.
ABOUT THE BLUE TIGERS – Sunday 2:30 p.m.
Lincoln tied, 1-1, with Illinois-Springfield (2-7-3, 1-6-2 GLVC) last Friday and shut out Indianapolis, 3-0, on Sunday.
Kevon Maitland has a team-high five goals and a team-high 21 shots. Hadri Lopez leads the team in assists with three.
Goalkeeper Vincent Osei ranks second in the GLVC for both total saves (41) and save percentage (85.4%).
The Lincoln soccer program's ever season was 2024. The program's first head coach is Sammy Samuels, who has led the team to a 12-6-8 record over the past two seasons
