Hannibal, Mo. - Peacock women's cross-country competed in the third annual Trojan Invitational. The team placed fifth overall.
The top 15 runners received a medal. Eryn Sabelka earned a medal after she placed sixth with a time of 21:56.2.
Lisbeth Trinidad-Valerio finished second on the team with a time of 27:03.0, while Cheyanna Thompson-Williams had a time of 27:54.0 and Rio Johnson had a time of 31:01.9.
Jasheana Tracey made her season debut for UIU and completed the course in 29:25.4.
Culver-Stockton won the meet with a total of 42 points, led by Delaney Straus, who claimed first place with a time of 20:05.5, setting a new course record. The Peacocks finished with 86 points.
Upper Iowa will travel to Romeoville, Illinois, on Saturday, Oct. 25, to race in the GLVC women's cross-country championship.
