FAYETTE, Iowa – Upper Iowa men's soccer plays William Jewell (Mo.) (2-5-1, 1-3-1 GLVC) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Rockhurst (Mo.) (4-2-2, 3-0-2 GLVC) on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Harms-Eischeid Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
In their first match on Friday, the Peacocks faced off against Quincy (Ill.) (5-1-1, 3-1 GLVC) and lost 3-0. On Sunday, they took on Truman State (Mo.) (2-4-1, 1-4 GLVC) in their second match of the weekend, but came up short again, losing 3-1.
Gerardo Romo recorded his first career goal. Alejandro Sanchez led in shots with eight, shots on goal with four and had the only assist on the week for UIU. Arnas Kurakinas, Dexter Garrett, Matas Dumalakas and Noah Nymark-Pedersen played the full 90 minutes in each match.

Garrett has scored the most goals on the team with two. Sanchez has seven shots on goal, which is a team best.
Sanchez leads the team in assists with four, which is tied for first in the GLVC. He is second in the GLVC in average of assists per game (.571). Sanchez is also sixth in shots taken in GLVC (15) and 10th in shots per game (2.14)
Nymark-Pedersen has recorded 18 saves on the season. He ranks eighth in the GLVC in saves per game (3.00), ninth in total saves and is tied for eighth in shutouts with one.
AROUND THE GLVC
No. 23 UIndys' (5-1-2, GLVC 3-1-1) Alvaro Sanchez took home GLVC Offensive Player of the Week with two goals and two assists, while McKendrees' (Ill.) Toby Lewis won GLVC Defensive Player of the Week with seven saves and two shutouts.
Only one team remains in the top 25 from the GLVC, and that's Lincoln (Mo.) (5-0-1, 3-0-1 GLVC), who dropped two spots from last week from No. 10 to No. 12. UIndy and Quincy each fell out of the rankings this week after previously being ranked No. 23 and No. 24 last week. Indianapolis is still receiving votes.

William Jewell lost, 3-0, against UIndy on Friday and then tied Lewis (Mo.) (3-1-4, GLVC 2-1-1), 0-0, on Sunday.
Kaleb Fannin and Eliott Labeth lead the team in goals scored with two. Labeth also leads the team in shots with 10 and shots on goal with five, followed by Zach Nichols' nine shots and four shots on goal. Goalkeeper Umberto Dicarlo has allowed 13 goals with 11 saves and a save percentage of 45.8%.
Head coach Eddie Horn is in his eighth season with the Cardinals and has an overall record of 14-61-13.
ABOUT THE HAWKS – Sunday 2:30 p.m.
Rockhurst won their first match, 2-1 on Friday against Springfield (Ill.) (2-5-1, 1-4 GLVC) and then tied Indianapolis, 2-2 on Sunday
Immanuel Wayoro leads the team with four goals and 19 total shots, and ranks second in shots on goal with nine. Kaden Cripe leads the Hawks in shots on goal with 10, is second in total shots with 16 and is tied with Blake Barrick for the second-most goals scored with two. Asier Olano tops the team in assists with six, followed by Barrick with five.
Goalkeeper Franco Briani Brunoro has six goals scored against him, 15 saves and a save percentage of 71.4%.
Tony Tocco is in his 54th year as the head coach for Rockhurst and has an overall record of 743-246-92. He is the second-winningest active Intercollegiate Coach in America.
