SEASON STANDOUTS… Senior
Daniel Pranger has appeared in all 90 minutes of every game this season. He leads the Peacocks with two goals and he added an assist in the season opener vs. Roosevelt. Junior
Alejandro Sanchez has played in all but 15 minutes on the year, and he recorded a corner kick assist in Upper Iowa's most recent game against Quincy. Junior
Emir Basar ranks second on the team in points, as he scored a goal against St. Cloud State and has also dished out two assists. Fifth year
Daigo Adachi has started in all seven matches and he is tied with Basar for most assists on the team with two.
HEADLINING THE HAWKS… Rockhurst has posted an 0-6-1 mark while going 0-4-1 in GLVC play. They are coming off a 2-2 tie with UIS where fifth year Jacopo Belardo scored both goals in the game. He has started in all six of his appearances on the season and he's tied for most goals on the team with two. Junior Asier Olano has also scored twice and he leads the team with three assists, picking up two in their meeting with Maryville. Sophomore Sam McIntosh has added two assists and he has started in six of Rockhurst's seven games. In the net, junior Franco Brunoro has posted a 62.7% save percentage with 32 saves.
CLASH WITH THE CARDINALS… William Jewell has started the season 2-4-2 while also going 0-4-1 in the GLVC. Freshman keeper Umberto DiCarlo has played all 720 minutes on the season, recording 35 saves. He has garnered a save percentage of 79.5% and he recorded a shutout in a 2-0 victory over Saint Mary's. Three Cardinals have recorded one goal and one assist on the season, with freshman Kaleb Fannin picking up both in a win over South Dakota Mines. Senior Brian Vidal and junior Zach Nichols also have both a goal and an assist, and freshman Caua Nascimento leads all field players with 690 minutes played.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS… UIU will return to Harms-Eischeid Stadium next weekend as they face Drury on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Southwest Baptist on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2:30 p.m.
