This week's Yoga Genesis Player of the Week honorees are Jayden Mitchell from football and Jordan Goldstein from women's soccer.
 
Mitchell aided the football team to a 21-7 victory in their conference opener versus Southwest Baptist on Saturday in Bolivar, Mo. The running back totaled 132 yards on the ground on 16 attempts for an average of 8.2 yards per rush, with his longest run of 52 yards. The graduate senior capped off his high-caliber performance with the team's last touchdown of the game with under three minutes remaining. Mitchell is fourth in the GLVC in rushing yards on the season with 316 (79 per game). 
 
Women's soccer earned a split last weekend as they clipped Lewis 2-1 on Friday before falling to UIndy 1-0 on Sunday. In the team's first conference win over the Flyers, Goldstein netted her game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 75^th minute of the contest while also recording an assist on the first goal of the game. The freshman now sits at two assists and two goals on the season, leading the team with six points, marking her 6^th in the GLVC with an average of 1.50 points per contest. 
 
Football continues their road stint this weekend as they take on the Quincy Hawks in Quincy, Ill. on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
Women's soccer hosts Truman State and Quincy in Fayette this weekend for two more GLVC battles. The match with the Bulldogs is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday, and kick-off against the Hawks is set for 12 p.m. on Sunday.
