Upper Iowa opened their homestand with a hard fought 1-0 defeat to the Indianapolis Greyhounds.
Junior
Isabelle Wagner recorded the first save of the game on a shot right down the middle in the 12
th minute. Freshman
Samantha Most would later record a shot on goal right at the top of the net ten minutes later, but it was tipped away by Greyhound keeper, Jenna Taghikhani. UIndy added three shots in the 37

Both defenses would step up in the second half, as neither team was able to record a shot on target for the first 30 minutes. The Greyhounds were able to end that streak in the 76
th minute as Stephanie Brady's shot sailed into the back of the net on an assist from Nicole Schroeder. Wagner added her fourth and final save on the day in the 83
rd minute, but it would not be enough as Indianapolis was able to seal a 1-0 win.
The Peacocks will stay in Fayette for their two upcoming games as they take on Truman State on Friday, Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. and Quincy on Sunday, Sept. 29 at noon.
