The Peacocks are preparing for an action-filled week ahead of them with five upcoming contests. They kick off the action on Tuesday in Winona, Minn. against the Winona State Warriors at 6 p.m. Later this week, they will travel to Kenosha, Wis. for the Hampton Inn Invitational. They will go head-to-head with Wayne State University and Lake Erie College on Friday at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m, and take on Ohio Dominican and Parkside on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

REVIEW OF THE LAST ACTION
The Peacocks competed at the Maverick Invite last weekend and went 2-2. They started on the wrong foot in a 3-0 loss to Minnesota State but then managed to pull off a momentous comeback and defeat Parkside 3-2 in the next match. They earned their second win on Friday against Minnesota Moorhead in a 3-1 decision. To conclude the tournament, Upper Iowa fell to Northern Michigan 3-0.
3,000 AND COUNTING
Nicole Pozorski eclipsed the 3,000-career assist threshold during the Maverick Invite last week. The senior setter tallied 148 assists over the weekend, bringing her career total to 3,052. She now ranks third in the all-time leaders for assists in a career. Ahead of her is Malissa LeClaire (2015-18) with 3,122 and Keri Vance (2006-09) with 3,833.
THE SEMELROTH SLAM
Middle Blocker
Zoe Semelroth recorded her career-high of 24 kills in the team's win over UW Parkside last weekend. She tallied 71 kills and recorded a .504 hitting percentage across the four games. In their opening game, she put down 13 kills of 18 attempts, good for a season-high .611 hitting percentage. The Tripoli, Iowa native nears the 1,000-kills mark as she has totaled 942 so far in her career.
GLVC PRESEASON POLL
Upper Iowa volleyball was chosen to finish eighth in the GLVC preseason coaches' poll, earning 81 votes. They came in five votes shy of seventh, as Missouri S&T edged out the Peacocks and garnered 86 votes, respectively.
Lewis University was voted in the preseason coaches' poll as the choice to win the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) volleyball title, the league office announced. The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
DOWN THE ROAD
Peacock volleyball will host Northwest Missouri State and Winona State in Fayette the following Friday and Saturday, Sep. 20-21.
