GAME ONE UIU-9, TSU-0

The home team was dominant in game one from the beginning, scoring four runs in the first inning. Wicklund got things going as he hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring in one. Justin Baehler kept the momentum going as he lined a double to right field, scoring three more runs for the 4-0 lead.

Zimmer doubled to left field in the second frame which scored one more, extending the UIU lead out to 5-0. Another two runs were added in the fourth inning, followed by another two in the fifth.

Upper Iowa's 9-0 lead held from the fifth inning until the game concluded. The Peacocks tallied nine hits while the Bulldogs recorded ten.

Brady Stevens picked up his third win on the mound this season. He threw six innings and allowed seven hits and zero runs.

Gabe Olson spent three innings on the bump in relief, picking up his first save of the season while tallying five strikeouts.

GAME TWO UIU-3, TSU-2

Game two came down to the final out of the last inning as Hoodjer stepped to the plate and lined a double to left field, putting the Peacocks on top and overcoming a 2-1 deficit.

Prior to Hoodjer's plate appearance, Sawyer reached base on a single and Wicklund drew a walk. They advanced to scoring position on a ground out.

The Bulldogs did all of their scoring in the first part of the contest, recording one run in the first inning and another in the second. The guests held a 2-0 lead until Wicklund recorded a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth.

Sawyer and Zimmer paced the team with two hits each in game two. The Peacocks collected seven hits and the Bulldogs gathered six.

Marcus Champagne picked up his first win on the mound this season as he appeared out of the bull pen to relieve Isaiah Maes who threw for six innings.
