Upper Iowa posted their best performance of the season at the Buena Vista Open. They Peacocks had six wrestlers place in the top five in their weight class and had two of their wrestlers meet in the semifinals.

Junior Tiffany White won by fall over her opponents in the first two rounds. She defeated Selena Snell in the quarterfinals by an 8-2 decision, which set up a matchup with junior, teammate Toyia Griffin. She won the hard-fought fight by tech fall (13-3) and advanced to the championship match where she won by forfeit. She placed 1^st in the 207-weight class and scored 19.5 team points.

Junior Toyia Griffin opened the competition by advancing due to an injury, before she won by fall in consecutive matches to advance to the semifinals. Following White's win, Griffin placed second in the 207-weight class as she defeated Selena Snell by a 12-5 decision. She accumulated 16.0 team points for the Peacocks.

Senior Alyssa Arce achieved a 4^th place finish in the 180-weight class where she garnered 10.5 team points. She won by tech fall (13-0) in her opening match and won by injury in the third round.

Freshman Makayla Matson (117-weight class) and sophomore Madison Arispe (103-weight class) each added fifth place marks. Matson's meet was highlighted by consecutive wins in her final two matches as she won by injury, before defeating Kate Richards by fall in the fifth-place match. She scored the third most points for the Peacocks with 12.0. Madison Arispe earned 8.0 team points, highlighted by an injury default win against Sofia Meza.
